Hypnosis Keeps Calling

While on a recent trip to San Francisco I was at the Almeda Flea Market.  This is Huge!  We actually timed our trip so we could attend.  My main disappointment was that it is all vintage or antique. I had an eye out for a crystal ball.  Just as we were going to lunch I saw two crystal balls at a booth.  Two women came up at the same time and they were drawn to the balls also.  One of the women was a hypnotist.  We spoke for a few seconds.  I didn't get back to the booth but I imagine a crystal ball like that would be more than I would have spent.  I planted the suggestion in my son's head to get that for Christmas. (not really)

There are Tarot and palm readers booths in the San Francisco area.  I was reminded of my father's cousin from the Upper Peninsula, Della Blee.  She told fortunes reading palms.  I think she had a crystal ball as well.  Her face was that of an old stern English woman with jowls and intense blue eyes.  I was afraid of her until she smiled.

These things have nothing to do with hypnosis but in the layman's eye they do.  Hypnosis is all mixed up with telling futures and past lives. Controlling other people.  Turning up the wrong card  has nothing to do with your life...unless you had placed a bet on that card.  I just like the trappings.  It sets the mood.  If one wants to affect their future start by changing yourself today.  Better habits lead to better results.

There were a few other things that happened on this trip that pushed me or pulled me back to practicing more hypnosis.  If it is used properly it will benefit anyone of normal intelligence.  It is exciting and worth pursuing. I found a Sigmund Freud action figure at a Goodwill Store out there.  I was reminded of being told that Freud's grandson used to attend the Hypnosis conventions.  According to the grandson, Freud wished he had stuck with hypnotism instead of the long process of psychoanalysis . All signs are pointing to Hypnosis!
