Thought I'd share a recent experience with hypnosis.   One of the problems with hypnosis is that so many new hypnotists want to say they have come up with a new discovery or method.  They name it and sell it and even tell other hypnotists to take their classes on it and use it.  I've referenced this in other blogs.  For me, I just want to use pure hypnosis.  Yes, we are encouraged to experiment and we can range broadly in our language and  imagery, but the method is very basic and time tested.

First you MUST gain the trust of the subject.  Second you lead them through an induction.  The induction can vary greatly.  It is part of the hypnotist's skill to decide which induction to use with a particular subject.  Once induced, the subject should be tested to determine the depth of trance.  There are physical signs that the hypnotist looks for that can tell how deep the subject is.  When the subject is in a nice deep state,  you can proceed.

The two paths are 1: Direct Suggestion, or 2: Regression to Cause.  1 is used for quitting smoking, weight loss(minor), confidence etc.
2 is used for phobias, serious weight loss, addiction etc.  How you proceed on these courses is well known and with experience becomes very routine.  The words used and order of use are important.

Recently I was feeling pretty low and decided to read one of the hypnosis scripts I had gotten from my course of study at Omni Hypnosis.  These scripts are well written, well thought out "pieces of literature".  They are used for direct suggestion.  The script I read to myself, being both hypnotist and subject, was on self-confidence.  There are many points raised in this script.  It gives a logical argument as to how one can label themselves incorrectly.  You may have labeled yourself as bullheaded, stupid, inadequate, unhappy etc.  The point is, If you look at yourself and have these labels, you tend to believe them and therefore ACT in that way.  You must remember they are just labels.

How they got there is another matter.  The thing to do is Tear off those labels.  In your imagination rip off those negative labels and replace them with some positive labels.  You might put on LOVING, GENEROUS, HAPPY, CHARMING.  Even if you don't really believe it right now.  Once you put the labels there you start acting that way.

Try it, what can it hurt?  That's how I got to be confident, caring and energetic.

Check your labels regularly-even daily at first.

My very best good wishes to you...see, I'm a caring guy!
